There are four types of concert ensembles in the band department at St. Charles East High School; Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Symphony and Wind Ensemble.

St. Charles East Bands

BANDS and ENSEMBLES

There are multiple jazz bands at St. Charles East High School, with the only audition group being the Jazz Workshop. All wind and percussion students must be also enrolled in one of the concert ensembles.
The Marching Band at St. Charles East High School is made up of all students in the Concert Bands, Symphonic Bands and Wind Ensemble.

 Pep bands perform at selected boys and girls basketball games, as assigned by our athletic director. The Marching Band is split in half for Pep Band; the bands are well known for the spirit they add to the games.

Welcome to the band program at St. Charles East High School! We are very fortunate to have great students to work with each day, along with committed and active parents, making our program one to be proud of. We are also lucky to have the resources to bring great guest artists, conductors, soloists and composers out to perform along with our students. The 2009/2010 school year promises more of the same, with wonderful activities and opportunities for our students. By working together, parents, students and teachers, we will help make this year a wonderful one.
